Fix your printer !

You can have error code  W-13   on Epson NX420, SX218, SX215, SX420W, SX425W, etc... It means that one or several cartridges are empty et need to be replaced. If the error persist, try this: Solution 1 : Firts reinstall the cartridge. It may be improperly installed. Then press the "start" button. Solution 2 : Make sure that there is not another cartridge that need to be replaced.

Here are some solutions to disable ink level on some Canon printers . Solution 1:  Press "Resume/Cancel" button. It works on these Canon printers:  BJC series: bjc3000, bjc8200 S series: s400, s600, s800, s520, s6300, s9000 I Series: i255, i320, i350, i355, i450, i470d, i550, i560, i850, i950, i6100, i6500, i9100 Pixma series: ip1000, ip1200, ip1300, ip1500, ip1600, ip1700, ip2000, ip2200, ip3000, ip4000 Solution 2:  Hold on "Resume/cancel" button at least 5 seconds. It works on these Canon printers:  Pixma series: ip1880, ip1980, ip3300, ip3500, ip4200, ip4500, ip5200, ip6700d, pro9000, 9500, ix4000, ix5000 Solution 3:  Press on the "Start" button, then on "Color" for the color cartridge or "Black" button for the black cartridge. It works on these Canon printers:  Pixma MP series: MP150, MP160, etc  Solution 4:  Hold on "Stop/Reset" button at least 5 seconds. It works on these Canon printer

You can have this error message on MFC and DCP Brother printers. This error appears although the cartridge is not empty. The problem comes from the ink level detector of the printer (sensor). Solution 1 : Uninstall the cartridge and put back it. Solution 2 : Clean the sensor with a wet cotton swab. Each sensor face up each cartridge. Solution 3 : Put a piece of black tape on  the transparent part of the cartridge: also, the sensor will recognize the cartridge.  Be careful: you will not be warned when the cartridge will be really empty !

Here are two solutions to verify ink level with Ubunu . Solution 1 : Mtink is a free software that lets you to know the quantity of ink remaining in the cartridge. It works with Epson printers and some HP and Canon printers.
